Description
The Amprobe TACH20 Hand-held Tachometer accurately measures rotational or surface speed as well as length. It comes with a large LCD display that allows the user to easily read the measurement. It also has a built in memory function that permits automatic storage of maximum, minimum, average values plus the last measurement displayed.
The TACH20 Tachometer is supplied with all the necessary accessories designed with optimal mechanical stability to ensure accurate, reliable, and repeatable measurements. In addition to the mechanical adapter that accepts a variety of tips, as well as the surface speed wheel for contact rpm measurement, the TACH20 Tachometer can perform non-contact measurement by using the infrared beam function.

I think this product would b a great product to have on hand, if ur a mechanic. I am a mechanic, and this would b great to have.

don’t use the batteries that came with it
After fighting to get an approval to buy a tach I went with the tach 20. I used the batteries that came with it and in 3 months they leaked and ruined the tach, now I’m stuck with a tach that don’t work, I needed it and could not use it and can’t get more money approved to get another one.

Good Qulaity
The unit is packaged in a nice storage case. The overall quality is what I would expect from Amprobe. The documentation is a little strange.

Great tachometer
I bought it because of several important features
1, Metric units especially m/s (others have only m/min)
2. The speed wheel was quite large so that I could hold the body of the tachometer flat on the conveyor surface
3. Average speed (my previous one only did max/min and last)
4. NOT made in China (I hope). The company where I work bought 3 Chinese-made units and they were in error by 3% as-purchased. Our control system requires speeds set to within 0.5% so it caused faults all the time.
