Amprobe ACD-10 PLUS 600A Clamp Multimeter
The Amprobe ACD-10 PLUS clamp multimeter has thinner jaws than standard digital clamp multimeters (only 0.4″/10mm thick) allowing access to tight measurement areas and still handles conductors up to 1.0 (25mm).
It combines the convenience and flexibility of an AC/DC current clamp meter with the most frequently used digital multimeter functions, including ac/dc current and voltage, capacitance, and frequency.

Great features for the price, however…
This meter does almost everything you’d want it to if you’re looking for a multimeter. It will check volts, amps, duty, Hz and capacitance with relative ease and quick readings.
It doesn’t feature anything that would be great for an HVAC trades person, as it doesn’t do microamps, but it’s handling of DCmV is excellent and was actually slightly more accurate than my more expensive meter.
For the price, it’s great. As a backup for a more expensive meter, it will do in a pinch, and it’s great for people in non-specific trades that only need the features it offers. It fits great in the hand and has a large display with a good backlight.
Battery life is astounding!

made me feel safer
this was the first clamp type meter I have ever used. I was helping an electrician freind with a wiring job. I used the clamp meter to check that power was properly routed and also to verify power was off. In the past I had always used probe type and always had the thought of accidentally touching wires on the back of my mind. This meter made me feel a whole lot safer and made the job much easier. This will be the brand and type of meter I buy when I am ready, very soon I think.

This is a versatile multimeter and clamp on.
I’ve used this meter for just about everything from solid state bench work to balancing panels. It’s ruggedness was proven when I forgot it was in my back pocket and sat on it, when I stood up it fell onto the concrete floor. It just keeps working.

Great meter with many features!
Got this meter over a year ago and have enjoyed it. I am an hvac tech and use this as a second meter at times but have used it in troubeshooting. It has many of the basic features needed volts/amps/resistance/capacitance. I would recomend this meter.
