The Amprobe ACDC-3400 clamp multimeter is CAT IV rated to add an extra level of safety for high voltage, industrial or utility testing applications. It is an AC/DC current clamp meter and a voltage meter all in one.
This clamp-on electrical multimeter includes True RMS sensing for accuracy and dependability and extra large jaws to clamp around conductors up to 2″ (51 mm) in diameter.

Easy to use.
I am an electrician at a college. I have to constantly monitor pwer usage. We are in the process of switching all lighting to LED. This amprobe has been a great help in monitoring the amperage or my loads. The larger thinner amprobe clamp makes it easy for me to get this into tight spaces. It is a great product and very reliable.

Easy To Use
I actually stumbled on to this product by a local 3 electrician and he loan me this meter to test my power lines. It was simple to understand and use. My #1 meter
I purchased this meter around 2012. I have been an electrician for 30 years. I purchased this meter to work on everything from basic circuits to control/process circuits and to have a meter that would be the last word. It has done that and has never let me down. I am sending it in for calibration and if need be, I will replace it with the same Amprobe model.

Pro: Sturdy case. 1000 Amp DC and AC. Has calibration feature on the meter. DC and AC voltage measurements are accurate.
One reasonable price and reliable meter for DC current measurements.
Con: 600A and 1000A that’s too close. The 600A give a decimal but really doesn’t reliable measure below 1A.
Peak for in-rush current is on AC only.
