Description
The Amprobe AMB-50 High-Voltage Insulation Tester has the necessary features for professional insulation diagnostics. It features calculation of PI and DAR parameters. The pass/fail comparison function helps to improve testing productivity. Readings are clearly displayed on a large backlit LCD display. Windows compatible PC Software and USB communications port serve for connecting the instrument to the PC and management of the recorded test data.

I find that this meter is very helpfol to use.
The best thing I likethe amprobe AMB-150 is the size and the
durabilty that comes with it.It helps to point where I might
have a problem in the wireing.
this is one tool that everyone should own.

Be Prepared to hit that E-Stop button
During my first usage, load began arcing at 5kV settings.
The ‘Test’ button had no ability to stop the test it had started.,
I thought none of the buttons worked.
Pulled power cord, still arcing away.
(had installed the batteries, argghhhh)
In desperation, I was about to try to disconnect the 5kV lead, when I was able to read the tiny text that said e.stop
OK, luckily that button still worked when none of the others did.
Manual suggests using that button when the computer inside the AMB-50 has crashed. Yikes!
