Consistent calibration and fast updating
I use this tool to check environmental CO2 conditions in theaters and in the field. The range is good with humidity readings that went to 3% in Colorado sub-alpine desert and CO2 readings that topped the 9,999 ppm limit in productions.
The carrying case is a bit large but made to carry other accessories. I would have liked it to include the 110V transformer. Take the unit when you look for a transformer; it is a smaller DC plug than expected.

Wrong instruction for calibration
Meter is good, easy to use and reliable. Odd thing is that you can never calibrate the CO2 Sensor if you follow the instruction. Amprobe should check for the mistake and revise the manual.

great meter
the simple misprint in the manual is that you must press “^” and “cal” together, not the downward facing arrow for calibration, once you do that it works wonderfully

This product is easy to use and read
While just purchasing my first home with a gas furnace, we had problems with it not working when we moved in. The pilot light wasn’t working properly. Knowing it was gas and worried about the odors being omitted we purchased this tool to keep an eye on it. The ease of using it and understanding what the readouts meant help us be sure that there wasn’t too much bad carbon dioxide in the air.

Perfect amount of info…
I love this light weight CO2 meter. Has all the numbers displayed in large on a clear screen. Not too much info on the screen at once. Not many buttons on meter, but all the info necessary for monitoring the IAQ. I wish it had a stand on back of meter so that i can leave it standing in a room on a piece of furniture for 15 min., and not be worried someone in the office will brush the furniture and cause it to fall. I would surely urge anyone in IAQ field to buy this.

Good features and seemingly durable
Product is relatively easy to setup and use. I have not tried to calibrate as I expect it’s factory calibration is still solid after only using for a couple of days. Do wish it didn’t take 30 seconds to be ready to use and I have yet to be able to get the unit to power off manually. However, its is great to have not only temp and humidity but Dew point and Wet bulb as well. That is handy. Being able to get an average of all those readings is a definite plus. Good Product all around so far.

Easy to use and very accurate.
Best bang for our buck. Easy to read numbers display with a back up light/illumination. It performed well and is a great addition for any air quality assessment tool kits. We are a consulting company and we are satisfied with this product. In a matter of minutes I was able to calibrate and set alarm parameters easily.

Amprobe CO2-100: Common problems as other reviewers
Meter is easy to use and seems to be accurate when calibrated to ambient conditions; however, I have 3 issues with it and /or Amprobe…
Issue #1: Power button will not turn off the meter. (I was told this is a non-issue since the meter turns off on it’s own and is not a manufacturing defect.)
Issue #2: Instructions on calibrating the CO2 to ambient conditions is incorrect in the Users Manual. The “cal” button and the arrow button opposite of what is shown in the manual must be used to put the meter in CO2 calibration mode.
Issue #3: A customer service representative told me the meter was going to be discontinued in March and that any warranty claims would be resolved with a “new” meter as long as they were in stock. I was told that once the current inventory is gone, they will no longer support the meter.
With these caveats, I do still recommend this meter because it is very inexpensive as far as CO2 meters are concerned and, for the company I work for, it is considered a “disposable” asset.

Great for high school classroom labs!
I use the Amprobe CO2-100 in my high school science class. We do a lot of inquiry based labs where students take data inside and outside.
One project is taking data in different areas–one natural area with real plants, grass, etc, one area that the school has put in fake grass, plants, etc.
The students enjoy working with the meter and have even borrowed them to take CO2 readings in classrooms where they feel particularly tired, especially when the door is closed.

Not calibrated from factory
The unit was recieved and was off calibration by 541ppm compared to other units on site. It has not been used in the plant as of this time. Calibratio on this unit does not work as explained in the manual. the unit cannot be turned off during calibration and it only calibrate the humidity. SN – 1702038

Good Product
I like this meter and the multiple readings on the same screen. This multiple readings on the same screen make it easy to take multiple readings at the same time without having to switch between screens.

Reliable and Bulky
The CO2-100 meter is a decent and reliable product. The meter does what it was made to do, provide CO2 readings. It also provides dry bulb temperature and relative humidity readings with wet-bulb and dew point temperatures also of which I really like. The three drawbacks are that the meter is very bulky even for a handheld device. It does not have an off button. And the prescribed on time for the meter is not adjustable. It’s still a good meter that I have used a lot.

Poor programming
The meter “kind of” worked, but could never be properly calibrated without an error message, or running on CAL mode for hours. It seemed to have some programming errors, buttons were often unresponsive, and sometimes locked up. After 3 years, I put in fresh batteries and attempted to calibrate it again; it doesn’t seem to work at all any more.
